Ingredients

  • ¼ cup mastic liqueur such as Mastika Liqueur
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • ¼ cup lemon juice
  • 6 basil leaves
  • 2 tablespoons crushed ice

Instructions

  • In a blender, add the mastic liqueur, sugar, lemon juice and 4 basil leaves.
  • Liquidize the above ingredients
  • Add crushed ice to a tall glass.
  • Pour the liquidized ingredients into the glass.
  • Top the ingredients with soda water.
  • Garnish with 2 basil leaves

Notes

Tip This beverage is perfect as a pre-dinner drink as well as after dinner since mastic is known for its soothing gastric qualities.
 
Serving Suggestions This wonderful drink is best served in chilled tall glasses on a hot summer day.
